Grateful for clearly explained, simple and deep insights that help me find answers in my life

This book is an exceptional resource for anybody who needs to gain the ability to replenish their energy and protect themselves from being drained. It is one of the clearest and most comprehensive texts that I have come across. As an energy healer myself, I am usually on top of my own energy system, however I found myself able to access new and deeper layers of my energy system with Brian's suggestions.
The most notable thing is the range of easy tools that are available in this book. It is not defined to any particular modalities, but uses several in support for the message behind this book, which is that effective energy boundaries are the basis for successful navigation and success in life.
Which makes sense - without this awareness we can easily become too rigid or too lucid. Which can mess up our life immensely. With the skills that Brian presents - now I have a much broader awareness of how to maintain my space and I am beginning to sense and know exactly what intelligent boundaries are.
If you are looking for a book to explain what you missed at school - this is it!

I first read this classic a few years ago and now have purchased the video to add to my collection. I highly recommend this video that portrays the Marine Sniper as the brave and couragous Soldiers they are. This is truly a Classic in every sense of the word. Enjoy!

I should have read this a lot sooner.

I would have loved this as a teen. I picked it up again at age 69 because it is a SF classic that I had never read. It's probably just my mature age and the experiences that have made me more serious minded, but I find it to be a pretty silly, contrived novel. I'm going to finish it, though, just so I can say that I know what it is all about.

Great book, unbearable editing!

I have been in love the "Tales of Known Space" since I was a young girl. Niven actually built an entire world inside his stories, both large and small.

But after listening to the Audible version of this book, I could barely get through even the sample of the book because listening to the narrator was a lot like biting on aluminum foil, or sliding down Olympus Mons by your fingernails with a ground made of chalkboard. So I decided that I could forgo the spoken version in lieu of own imagination, as disappointing a choice this was.

However, I've never heard of this editing company before I saw this ebook, and, upon looking into it after being repeatedly insulted by such poor editorship, I looked online, on its "website," it honesty like it operates out of someone's basement.

The reason I removed a star from this book is because of the fact that this ebook has the worst editing I've ever seen in my life! As I looked at the photos of this Mickey Mouse operation, it shows two people at cheap desks, and it's hard not to think that that they might be relatives of Mr. Niven who who received a "gimme" because of their close family ties, as the site is so cheaply made that's it's easy to believe that these two -- a teenager and his "Mom" perhaps? -- because no professional company would ever release such printed drivel and expect to remain in operation in the world of print. I wonder why Tor was not the printing company...

The word "you" is the most battered, coming out as "yon," other words are either spelled incorrectly because of the normal location-based keyboard accidents, but for others, there simply is NO explanation for how any typist could have tapped most of these words into a line. And worst of all, some mistakes are SO incorrect that, unless you have a vocabulary that's extremely well versed in not just SciFi but in Known Space, you will likely end up not having the slightest idea what the writer is saying!

If you can find this book from any OTHER editing company, I suggest you do so!

Great choice for my first E-book and Audio book combo.

This is a long time classic. I have owned a few copies of this book over 20 years. Someone always seems to walk off with this good read! So, as I am new to E-books and limited experience with audio books, I will review both.
Ringworld is an entertaining Sci Fi novel, filled with high tech gadgets, space travel and interesting characters. Even though it was written as a stand alone novel, I highly recommend the sequels as they just seem to delve deeper into the world's Larry Niven has created.
The audio book is fantastic! Expertly narrated, with great voice inflection for emotions as well as the different voices of different characters.
If I had these 2 options separately, I would be content. However... since I bought the E-book and Audio Book as a bundle, I have the best of both worlds. I have them paired with the Kindle app (w/ Whispersync) on my android phone. Hello multitasking! I can now read along with the audio, walk away and listen for a bit, and jump right back to reading without skipping a beat.
I am so very happy I got the combo.

On another note, I was initially upset that this was unavailable on Google Play Books. The sequels and a shoddy comic are there, but not this classic original. Shame on Google for leaving out the first novel of this series. Well... I guess Google's loss is Amazon's gain. THANK YOU.

About the Author
Thomas P. Rausch, SJ, is the T. Marie Chilton Professor of Catholic Theology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. A specialist in ecclesiology, he has published twenty books and numerous articles and has long been active in ecumenism. He co-chairs the Los Angeles Catholic/Evangelical Committee and the Theological Commission for the Archdiocese. From 2010 to 2014 he was a consultor to Jesuit Superior General Father Adolfo Nichol�s for ecumenical affairs.

I am a mentor in an adult education program and this is a required text. I find the reading clear and easy though it is very thorough. This will be a joy to discuss with students. Father Rausch has quite a reputation for clarity and easy to understand theological discussion; he does not disappoint.
